Pudacuo - Heart Holy Realm, Dream Paradise
Pudacuo National Park is located in the central area of the "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage in northwestern Yunnan. It consists of the Bita Sea Nature Reserve, an internationally important wetland, and the Shudu Lake Scenic Area of the Haba area of the "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage. It is mainly composed of Shudu Lake, Milintang Yagao Mountain Pasture, and Bita Sea. It is also one of the main tourist attractions in Shangri-La. It is a provincial-level nature reserve and an important part of the "Three Parallel Rivers" scenic area.
Scenic Spots
Bita Lake
Bita Sea, known as the "Pearl of the Plateau," is a fault-formed lake, with the Tibetan meaning "a place where oak trees form a felt," at an altitude of 3538 meters. The lake surface is like a treasure bottle, formed by the confluence of snow water streams, and the heart of the island is rich in vegetation, with an ancient Buddha hall.
Shudu Lake
Shudu Lake is the highest altitude geological structure lake in Yunnan, with a lake surface elevation of 3595 meters, 2.8 kilometers long from east to west, 0.7 kilometers wide from north to south, and an area of 120 hectares. The lake is home to the "Shudu Schizothorax", which has a history of 2.5 million years. This fish has a golden body without scales and a natural crack in its abdomen, making it extremely valuable for scientific research.
Tianbao Terrace
There are four buses daily from Shangri-La Passenger Station to Pudacuo National Park, departing at 8:00, 8:30, 9:30, and 10:00, and returning at 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, and 16:30. The fare is 15 yuan for a one-way trip and 30 yuan for a round trip, with a journey time of about half an hour.
Militang
Militang alpine pasture is located between Shudu Lake and Bita Sea in Shangri-La Pudacuo National Park. "Militang" means "Buddha's eye meadow" and is named because it looks like a slender Buddha's eye. It is a subalpine meadow with an altitude of 3700 meters.
Gangca Dam
Gangca Dam, is a famous summer pasture in Shangri-La, the meadow is 2 kilometers long, 0.4 kilometers wide, covers an area of 80 hectares, and is located at an altitude of 3600 meters.
