Travelogue

Some yaks are dotted around the lake and on the green, carpet-like meadows, like a fairyland that shouldn't exist in the world, at this moment. A sense of happiness arises spontaneously. What is happiness? Happiness is when, after seeing the complicated world, there is still a place that moves you to tears. It makes you feel moved: God is truly a magical creator.

Your own car can only be parked at the entrance and cannot be driven in. The above mentioned are several major attractions, and each attraction has only one way to walk out, mainly to see the scenery. Very considerate is that after buying the ticket, there is also a map of the scenic area attached to it. If there is anything you don't understand, you can also ask questions at their information desk.

Travelogue - An Encounter with Pudacuo and Zhuoma

Pudacuo National Park is located in Shangri-La County, Yunnan. It was established in 2007, which was the first step in China's nature conservation work and a prelude to the recent ambitious national park plan. Tourism is a key factor in the development of Pudacuo. Pudacuo is located in the mountainous area of southwestern China. The park is a component of the Three Parallel Rivers scenic area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of China's most popular tourist destinations. It provides economic benefits to local communities through park-related jobs and ecotourism.

[Travelogue] The Most Beautiful Sanctuary of Pudacuo National Park (3)

The next stop after Shudu Lake is called "Militang," which means "Buddha's Eye Meadow" in Tibetan. Legend has it that this meadow is the Buddha's eye on earth, capable of seeing through worldly affairs and eliminating cognitive obstacles. For tourists, it's a typical subalpine meadow nestled among mountains. For local herders, it's a renowned pasture in Shangri-La. Two types of grass grow here: one called "Zumu Yasha" and the other "De Gui De Duo." These grasses are rich in protein and fat, making the yaks strong and increasing their milk production, resulting in ghee and cheese of exceptional quality.

[Travelogue] The Most Beautiful Sanctuary of Pudacuo National Park (2)

Arriving at the first scenic spot, Shudu Lake, visitors actually have two choices: either get off the bus and walk to the lakeside viewing platform for a look before turning back to get on the bus, or walk 2.7 kilometers along the wooden boardwalk to the next station to board the bus. Naturally, the DouDou family chose to walk. Originally, there was only one sightseeing bus every ten minutes or so, each bringing no more than thirty or forty tourists, and most of them returned to the station where they got off the bus. Therefore, after walking only two or three hundred meters along the boardwalk, you could hardly feel the presence of other people, as if you already owned everything in front of you.
