The next stop after Shudu Lake is called "Milintang," which in Tibetan means "Buddha's Eye Meadow." Legend has it that it is the Buddha's eye in the world, which can see through the world and eliminate obstacles to knowledge. For tourists, this is a typical subalpine meadow surrounded by mountains. For local herders, this is the famous Shangri-La pasture. Because there are two kinds of grass growing in it, one is called "Zumuyasha" and the other is called "Degui Deduo", which are rich in protein and fat. After eating them, yaks become fat and strong, and the milk production is high, providing excellent butter and cheese.

■The lake here is not an ordinary lake, but a sacred lake on the plateau■
Unfortunately, the sightseeing bus only stops at Milintang for ten minutes. All tourists can do is look at the scenery and take pictures on the viewing platform. DouDou once thought about waiting for the next sightseeing bus, but the vehicles coming from Shudu Lake only depart when they are full. It may be possible to find one or two empty seats, but it is not easy to find a sightseeing bus with six empty seats for DouDou's family, so they had to give up the idea of sitting here for half an hour to enjoy the scenery. What's more, there is an even bigger Bita Sea waiting for us!

According to HeiDou's evaluation, the grasslands of Shangri-La are far less open than the grasslands of Inner Mongolia. This is indeed the case. The grasslands of Inner Mongolia are boundless. Sometimes you can drive for more than ten kilometers without even turning a corner. The most impressive thing for DouDou was on the road from Chifeng to Keshiketeng Banner in Inner Mongolia. There was a section of the road with only nine consecutive turns, and countless signs were erected on the roadside to remind drivers to pay attention to the bends, and also said how prone to accidents it was, etc. There are no roads in the grasslands of Pudacuo, and all the roads are built on the hillsides. It is no exaggeration to say that there are nine hundred and ninety-nine bends. The grassland is the real home of herdsmen and yaks, and they can be completely free from external interference.

■This kind of scenery where mountains, trees, water, grass, and flowers complement each other can probably only be appreciated in Shangri-La■
To appreciate the grasslands of Pudacuo, you must not only look at the grass, but also look at the flowers, the trees, the water, and the mountains. This kind of scenery where mountains, trees, water, grass, and flowers complement each other can probably only be appreciated in Shangri-La. What's more, the mountains here are not ordinary mountains, but white snow-capped mountains; the lakes here are not ordinary lakes, but sacred lakes on the plateau; the trees, grass, and flowers here are often unique species on the plateau.

■The small flowers all over the ground make the green grass look like an embellishment from a distance■
On the way to Bita Sea, I saw two Western backpackers, a couple who looked to be in their fifties, walking slowly along the way. The driver saw them and shouted to signal them to get on the bus, but they insisted on walking on their own. I guess they will either camp by the lake at night or stay in a Tibetan home. DouDou couldn't help but feel envious, thinking that this is the real trip. Why do we continue to be a hurried passer-by in such a paradise when we live a tense and busy life in the city every day?

■We are already very lucky to be able to spend a few hours slowly walking from one end of the plank road next to Bita Sea to the other■
Nevertheless, compared to those tourists who follow the tour group and leave in a hurry after only two or three hours, we are already very lucky to be able to spend a few hours slowly walking from one end of the plank road next to Bita Sea to the other. If you walk the whole way, the total length of this plank road is 4.2 kilometers. The starting point of the plank road is at the east end of Bita Sea. Not far from the starting point, by the lake, is a cruise ship terminal. Some tourists take a boat from here across the lake all the way to the westernmost side of Bita Sea, and finally only need to walk a short section of the plank road.

■The west side of Bita Sea is a large area of grassland■
Here, most tourists have prepared oxygen tanks, which look like large soda cans, with a disposable oxygen mask connected to the top. If you need to take a few breaths of oxygen after walking a section of the road, it is estimated that there is no problem taking a boat. If you have to breathe oxygen while sitting there, you don't even have the physical strength to walk to the pier to take a boat. We took a sightseeing bus from Milintang to Bita Sea, and there was a car full of people who looked young and strong, but half of them were breathing oxygen. When we arrived at Bita Sea Station, only DouDou's family got off the bus. For tourists who did not get off the bus, there is a third option besides walking and taking a boat, which is to continue to take the sightseeing bus and take a look at Bita Sea from the hillside, and then go directly back to the park gate. Bita Sea is the highest plateau lake in Yunnan. It seems that appreciating its beauty is not an enjoyment for everyone.
