Detailed Description
Bitahai is known as the "Pearl of the Plateau" and is a fault tectonic lake. In Tibetan, it means "land where oak trees form felt", with an altitude of 3538 meters. The lake surface is like a treasure bottle, gathered by streams of snow water. The island in the center of the lake is rich in vegetation and has an ancient Buddhist temple.
Surrounded by green mountains and verdant pine and cypress trees, the lakeside azaleas and meadows complement each other. The Quaternary glacial ancient creatures in the middle of the lake are known as the "Blue Tower Heavy lipped Fish", the "Drunken Rhododendron Fish" in the fifth lunar month, and the "Old Bear Fishing for Fish" wonder. This place is also an auspicious holy site for Tibetan Buddhism, with both scenery and culture.
